    Ahem:
The M1911, also known as the Colt 1911, or the Colt Government, is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated pistol chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge.
"GI Ball" it was called in 45-caliber target-pistol circles, unless my memory is faulty.

Haha, happy to replace everyone’s heros but must confess, I’m a mere 50. The 1911 is the founding year of my fraternity (and not one of those super-spread ones - too soon?). Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

My house was built in 1911 and it's by far the best structure we've lived in. Good year.

I questioned RJ Barrett's value as an NBA player at the end of December, and I think a retraction is in order. In my defense, my remark was made in the midst of an 0-21 streak on 3-pointers at the end of a month during which his 3-point percentage was 12 percent. But that seems to have been a shooting nadir, as he has actually shot 3's at nearly 50 percent (!) for the months of February and March combined...and his average for the year is a quite tolerable 36 percent. He and the Knicks have been playing much better in general, too. So, congratulations on the much-improved play, RJ...very glad to see it.

The Pels are maddening. They're up 19 in the 3rd on the Clips. This after losing by 30 to Minnesota a few days ago.

I think they are just young. Ingram is still getting better. If Zion gets much better, he'll be an MVP candidate. As I said before, he is a destroyer.

JJ is a DNP in this scoring orgy. And thirteen guys have played. I guess the foot is still messed up.

Kennard is getting his confidence back per Clippers announcer Corey Maggette' 99. Don McClean agreed.

JJ had a nonsurgical procedure on his foot a few days ago. He is out indefinitely and away from the team while he recovers.

Kennard is shooting 45.5% from 3 for the year. It seems he needs playing time more than confidence. Very deep roster so lots of competition.

Here you got Steven A Smith calling Kyrie an MVP candidate. Yeah, the same Steven A Smith who thought Kyrie should retire and is bad for the locker room. Winning cures all ills in sports.

They trade in sports drama and you can’t have it without conflict. Thus all the hot takes. E comes first in ESPN for a reason.
