    Very tragic and heartbreaking. Eerily similar to the recent bicycle accident involving Shawn Bradley, also in Utah. Bradley was paralyzed. Both were NBA 7-footers.

    I once saw Mark Eaton in the Atlanta airport and Dilembe Mutombo in LaGuardia. 2 largest human beings I’ve ever seen. Mutombo was on my flight and flew coach, the last name on the upgrade list not to get bumped up to 1st class!

    They are big folks. It's really hard to comprehend how someone can be that big.

    My son, who was about 12-13 at the time, and I passed Gheorghe Muresan in the hallway at Georgetown Prep years ago. Muresan was listed at 7'7", 325 lbs, during his playing days. My son had no idea who he was, since Muresan had been out of the NBA for a few years by that point.
