Some amazing numbers for the Heels in their 62-26 rout of #10 ranked Miami.

Two running backs (Michael Carter and Javonte Williams) combined for 544 yards, and the team had 778 yards total offense.

Manny Diaz was absolutely awful as the defensive coordinator at Texas from 2011 through the first two games of 2013, something that definitely contributed to Mack Brown’s temporary retirement at the end of that season. Mack was simply too nice to Diaz, who should have been fired earlier. I suspect that Mack wanted some payback, not to mention that he knows that Diaz’s teams have tackling issues.

Diaz’s last game was a debacle vs. BYU where Texas gave up an unbelievable 550 yards on the ground. Last night two UNC running backs almost matched that number.
