Saturday’s game vs Charleston Southern has been postponed

Charleston Southern announced their basketball program is on pause after a positive COVID-19 test at the Tier-1 level (non-player), Saturday and Tuesday contests postponed.

Duke’s next game is now a week away on 12/16 at Notre Dame.

Duke will enter ACC play with 4 contests under their belt. Assuming no ACC games get cancelled this season, Duke will play 24 games this season.

Lots of time off to practice and get fresh!

    Watching carolina Go To HELL!
Listening to Coach K's comment/statement in last night's presser, I'm expecting Duke's next game to be sometime in March or April after the vaccine has had time to work its magic. I doubt Saturday's football game as FSU will be played, and that Duke will put all athletics on pause for the next 2-4 months. Expect the ACC and NCAA to follow Duke's lead, as they did in March.

This also assumes that Duke doesn't reschedule the 3 postponed games, one of which has already been rescheduled - Gardner-Webb (it also assumes Duke gets all 20 ACC games in...). And playing these types of games is part of how Duke gets better.

Not sure how serious you are. But I don't see a December Rudy-Gobert-analog. That was what really started the cancellation-ball rolling.

I have no reason to question this. But it is curious that there's nothing on the Duke website and there hasn't been an email sent out to the Duke media. I wonder if Duke is trying to salvage this. This would be very inconsistent with the way Duke has handled these things over the last nine months, so it's probably just a burned-out communications staff. Seriously, these folks work unhealthy hours.

Not surprising. A lot of athletic teams are testing positive in this area at the highschool level.
They tend to work out outside of schools in the same places .training ect.aswelk as pick up games
    Friends from highschool ect.
Younger college and older hs kids being same ages sometimes.

This team needs playing time against real opponents. This is bad on many levels.

Probably good for the physical health of the program.

UPDATE: Coach K indicates Duke will forgo all of their remaining non-conference regular-season games for the 2020-21 season. This would include games that were postponed and rescheduled (like the Gardner-Webb game).

Next up for Duke is Notre Dame next Wednesday in South Bend.

If no ACC games for Duke get cancelled this season, they will end the 2020-2021 season with 24 games before entering the ACC and NCAA Tournaments.
