    Pitt vs. Saint Francis (PA)

Perhaps Capel turns it around, but hopefully this at least puts the brakes on the idea that he should even be considered as a successor to K.

He has no track record of being a good head coach, 1 NCAA tournament appearance for teams that didn’t include Blake Griffin.

Duke can (and should) do better and aim higher.

Very sneaky by Georgia Tech. They decided to get another half a game in since there are fewer games allowed this season.

Especially for Tech ... getting upset by a local rival. Is that like Duke losing to NCCU?

ehhhh georgia state is actually pretty good. closer to losing to wake, according to currnet KP preseason #s. GT is also not that good. they only had like 70% chance of winning pre-game.

Either way, not a good look for a team that people were touting as the one that would be the one that finally pastner was going to win with. With patience in atlanta likely wearing thin, and being on year 5 of a 6 year contract (and thus effectively needing to be re-signed or fired at the end of th eyear), IMO he's coaching for his job.

BC put up a great fight against #3 Villanova, the game went down to the wire and BC led by like nine points with 10 or so minutes left before Nova went on a run. They look like a tough out this year.

I have a good friend who started at center for St. Francis back in their last NCAA season*. He mentioned matching up against Sean Rooks and Brian Williams (Bison Dele) in the post was a challenge.

    *OK, their only NCAA season.

Co-sign! I came here to write about this game. BC looks really athletic and Makai Ashton-Langford was really tough. Both Nova and BC were playing a lot of zone.

I noticed Nova's Bryan Antoine, who was a big Duke recruiting target a few years back, was not playing. It looks like that surgically repaired shoulder that he's been struggling with for years is still not 100%. Nova didn't look great, but I am not sure who is going to look great early this year..including Duke.

BC won by 5, a nice win for them.

Clemson leading Purdue by 8 early in the 2nd half... that would be a huge win for them if they hold on. Clemson figures to be one of the ACC's bubble teams and a victory like this could be a major feather in their cap.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?
