Look at the NCAA protocols, the answers are right there. Vandy's team and all traveling staff are vaccinated. They did it during the season and planned around games to get it done.

Yeah, not vaccinated. Pretty easy to tell. The coach called it “politics” in the post game presser. It’s really sad that vaccinations have become politics.

The blame goes to players, coaches and athletic administraron for not making sure the team was fully vaccinated.

I can understand the frustration for the lone ACC rep since this particular round of NCSU stuff might surpass most of the others. If true, I am beyond puzzled why NCSU didn't get vaccinated after the Duke series was cancelled. (I drove 3 hours twice to get mine.) Your guys worked their tails off for this moment (as did our guys watching on TV). The coaches and administration probably couldn't do anything; I don't think the NCSU system is compelling student vaccinations for the fall.

Word on the street is that the they retested the entire NC State team and several vaccinated players tested positive (and those players played today). Hence, no longer enough vaccinated, but negative, players to field a team as the unvaccinated players were still in the COVID protocols.

It does beg the question if any of the unvaccinated players on Vandy will need to sit out due to having played in a game with positive players. If they don't have to sit out, because baseball isn't really a sport where you have close contact, why the big deal about sitting out all the players on NC State that tested positive.

The only player I can think where you might have a close contact is catcher.

Either way, it's a hard lesson to learn to just get your darned shot!

State fans close to me are so bitter over Duke and Cheat success in past 3 decades. They are truly snakebit and it doesn’t surprise me they’d lash out at everyone else. I guess they’re still in payback mode for the luck of Valvano in 1983.
