In Game 3, starting at 6pm ET, Kevin Kopps (12-0, 0.66) will be starting for Arkansas against Matt Willadsen (5-3, 4.97) of NC State. Kopps was pitcher of the year in the SEC, but he's a reliever and has not started a game all year.

NC State and Arkansas in a pitching duel with the Wolfpack leading 2-1 in the 7th. Kopps is still in but now up to 100 pitches.
Pitch 118 was a home run... 3-2 NC State... Kopps out in the T9.
NC State holds on to beat #1 Arkansas 3-2 on their home field and they advance to the CWS!
Wow amazing recover by State to win the last two!
Congrats, Wuffies!
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
Congratulations Wolfpack!

Pretty incredible. Arkansas coach going to be second guessed for bringing Kopps back for the 9th in a tie game with 115 pitches
Notre Dame just beat Miss. State 9-1 in their Game #2 and are still alive.
Virginia beat Dallas Baptist 4-0 earlier today in their Game #2 and are also still alive.
Both play tomorrow for the series win.
Does this mean that Packman97 will run naked thru the streets of Raleigh? Just in case I am closing my blinds.

Congratulations to the Wolf Pack.
Which team had the howler? It reminded me of the Vandy whistler - really annoying.
It's more a factor of our schedule. We really struggled early in the season with some COVID pauses that took out some easy home wins.
At one point early in the season our record stood at 4-9 getting swept at home by #15 GT, #7 Louisville and dropping the series against #6 Miami...at that point we had not played a road game since COVID canceled the series at Duke and a game at UNC-W. So that's a 1-8 start to the ACC season...all at home and all against top 15 teams. After that we finally got the season on track and went on a lot of huge road wins.
As with all things COVID, it was just a really strange season, but so far in a good way
