I think the people over at Chapel Hill have finally figured out that their original shade of blue was really ugly. Over the past ten years or so, they have been gradually making it darker and darker, perhaps hoping that nobody would notice.

Today they decided to bypass all intermediate colors and just jump straight to a dark navy blue.

There oughta be a law!

The high and low:

Pitt placekicker Alex Kessman hit a school-record 58-yard FG in the final minute of regulation to send the Pitt-BC game into overtime.
BC scored a touchdown with the first possession of overtime and kicked the extra point; Pitt came up with a hard-earned touchdown, but Kessman then missed the extra point. Good from 58 yards and then wide right on a 20-yd extra point try.

Game over, BC won 31-30.
