Someone has to start the game thread so I’ll bite the bullet. Virginia has won five straight in the series and is currently a five points favorite in Vegas.

    Discuss the game here.

It strikes me as a crazy low point spread, especially given the way Mendenhall's defenses have swallowed up and expectorated our offense in recent years...

Coach Cutcliffe met with the media today (via Zoom most likely), here is Jim’s take:

UVa (& Va Tech in 2 weeks) will line up in press man coverage and blitz the heck out of Brice. He's going to have to make good, quick decisions.

Both players remain positive despite the 0-2 start.

    Watching carolina Go To HELL!
Just heard on CNBC that the Wake - Notre Dame game scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed because 7 ND players tested positive. Damn, that's ~10 days after playing us.
    Ozzie, your paradigm of optimism!

Well, cancellations might be the best of possible results we can hope for moving forward...

It's hard to overstate just how terrible a performance Saturday was.

Given how often we've seen this kind of performance over the past ten games, it's fairly difficult to find reasons to believe the ship can be righted any time soon.

After how we played against the perennial football powerhouse Boston College, color me not too optimistic about a win over Virginia.

Football is a contact sport, played best with some material level of aggressiveness. We lacked that against BC, and based on the comments from coaches and players since the game, they seem to focus more on a lack of basic execution. Coach is the expert, so whatever. As a fan, the unbearable part of that game was not the turnovers as much as the fact that BC wanted it more than we did.

Cut has always blamed execution. He is not a rah-rah guy.
