I find Bryson's swing simply fascinating. I know he's a bit complicated as a person, and maybe I'm a simple man, but watching him launch a golf ball almost four football fields is just jaw dropping.

    To me.

They really need to do something about reining in distance. My home course has held a few majors and is undergoing a renovation that will make it play 7900 yards from the tournament tees. That is bonkers.

The only reason I didn't put Wolff on my team is because he could've won the PGA if he hadn't missed several fairly easy putts on the back nine on Sunday. It will be interesting to see if he can figure out a way to make that not happen tomorrow.
I’m rooting for Wolff, but worry about a young guy sleeping on the lead. Worried it could be like DJ at Pebble but hope he pulls it off.

Well Reed and JT really killed my chances, unless one of them get's hot today and goes very low. On this course, it's highly unlikely. Almost like Duke Football going 6-5 or better.

That US Open was all B.A.D. And I might could end up DFL with T8, T13, T20. Ugh.

Let’s hustle-up and get to the Masters.

At least I had the winner on my team....I had a hunch to pick Wolff, but went with thought over hunch and it cost me a lot.

Score -4 (I almost always go with -14 but the US Open shouldn't see that).
Elvis had #1 and #2. I’m betting he is the winner. I had #1 and a couple other in the top 8 but I suspect he bested me.

What a crazy day for me. I had an 8am tee time. Played well but missed 5 makable birdie putts (and made just 1). Note, I'm not a good golfer and I don't usually have that many birdie putts so it was cool. Got home mowed the lawn finished about 5 minutes before I had to leave for my daughters soccer game (which I was coaching). Grabbed dinner on the way home, sat down to watch the last round only to discover that my DVR didn't record it (not sure what happened there).

I will wait for mkirsh's expert tabulations, but I suspect this is the winner. Getting #1 and #2 is no small feat!

Team CDu lurked, and for a while looked threatening. But DeChambeau's monster day coupled with Wolff and Schauffele fading ultimately did me in:
    Wolff (2)
    Schauffele (5)
    Thomas (T8)
    Finau (T8)
    Hovland (T13)

By my VERY rough calcs, elvis14 will be around $7MM total going into the Masters, with me in a somewhat distant second at a little over $6MM. Gonna be tough to catch elvis for the "total majors" payout.

Not sure whether you should combine majors the way you are talking about doing it, since the PGA season that included the most recent PGA tournament is actually completed. There was no US Open in that particular season.

The new season started, and the plan is for 6 majors this season, including two Masters tournaments and two US Opens.

Obviously, y'all can set it up however you want to, and I guess you could do last season's PGA, this season's first US Open, and this season's first Masters as "the majors" for your contest (without last season's Open Championship, which wasn't played); or, you could run it the way the PGA runs it, and have a super-mega 6 majors contest.

Since I didn't set it up and I don't run it, I'll leave it up to whomever is "in charge." Just wanted to point out what the PGA is doing.
"We are not provided with wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can take for us, an effort which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world." --M. Proust

Sorry to be late with the results - I had to DVR the final round and got too tired to tabulate last night.

No surprise, the winner is elvis14 with the top 2 - super impressive. Congrats elvis14! I was pulling for Wolff, but even if he had won elvis14 would still hoist the trophy.

For the major contest rsvman is right that the PGA considers this the first major of the 2021 season, but call me a traditionalist as I believe that since this US Open was played in 2020 we should count it as 2020 and have a 3 major season. First, thanks to mkirsh as always for the maths. You da real MVP!

Second, congrats to Elvis for a very impressive win!

Third, I vote for the traditional calendar-based major tally. As the winner of the only official major of the 2020 season, it would feel like a combination of hollowness and double-counting to call the PGA win also the 2020 majors champ. Plus it will make the Masters that much more interesting in November!
