Leg breaks are always so bad. Hopefully Prescott isn't done for good, just the season.
On that note, Alex Smith Returned to the field today for the WFT.

Wow. The networks usually don't show the worst of it but it seemed like the camera just sat on his angled ankle for a while, then replayed the darn thing in slow motion. Pretty standard play just looked like the defender caught it at the right leverage and angle against the turf.

He was understandably upset. Here's hoping for a quicker-than-expected recovery.

I'm not a Dak fan or a Cowboys fan, but that is such a bad deal. Hope he has a quick and full recovery.

    Maybe could be a dislocation?

    Gruesome. Sobering.

I've always liked Smith, I wish I could have watched that game.

I happened to turn on the game when Alex entered. Notwithstanding my views on Dan Snyder, I was a Washington fan for 2 hours today.

The cameras showed his wife and children in the stands. There were only a handful of spectators at FedEx field, but it was a nice moment.

    Strange bookends.

I don't like the Cowboys, but Jesus, your heart goes out to Dak. That was brutal.

I always go back to Louisville/Duke. Probably the non-UNC game, non-Championship game I was most pumped for in the last fifteen years. After the injury, I was just spent. Didn't care who won.

Those things really make you step back.

Didn't see the injury, but I did see their back-up quarterback lead them to an incredible victory with two fantastic throws. Hate to say it but i'm not sure Dak would've hit both those passes.
I hope he gets better soon.

As a fan of the WFT, I have to say that their back-up is a lot better the any quarterback on our roster.

Yes, the injury was beyond gruesome. But that back-up quarterback is former Bengals starter Andy Dalton, a veteran with some real accomplishments on his resume. Not your average NFL backup. I am not a Cowboys fan but credit where credit is due. They signed Dalton for just this contingency.

Jim, fully aware of who it was and what he has done. I guess my post was overly subtle. I thought hard about putting quotation marks around the word back-up but decided against it.

That franchise hasn't been right since 28-3.

I was really happy to read this thread and see this repeated over and over "I'm not a Cowboys fan..."

    Get well Dak!

Unbelievable ending to the Vikings-Seahawks game! Vikings really should have kicked the freaking field goal. What were they thinking???

    Wow that was quick.

Speaking of the Cowboys, my Doomsday Scenario has Dallas playing New England in the Super Bowl. That might be a Netflix night for me. Assuming a meteor doesn't hit the stadium. That would be cool.

I’m not sure I’d worry about a team that barely, by the skin of their teeth, beat the 0-5 Falcons and 0-5 Giants making the Super Bowl.
Just be you. You is enough. - K, 4/5/10, 0:13.8 to play, 60-59 Duke.

You're all jealous hypocrites. - Titus on Laettner

You see those guys? Animals. They're animals. - SIU Coach Chris Lowery, on Duke

Great game, especially for someone who had Seattle in survivor this week! 100% agree on the stupidity of not kicking the field goal. Especially now that OT isn’t sudden death. Inexplicable.
