fwiw, apparently the PGA Tour devised an eight tournament series, LocaliQ, when COVID zapped most developmental tours. Our guys, Alex Smalley and Chandler Eaton, are competing. So far Alex ranks 9th and Chandler 81st overall in the Series. Both are playing today in Duluth, Ga.

Long is having a good round so far. Plantation generally is the easier of the two courses, especially if there is wind (like today).

    LPGA tour update:

First round of the Pelican Women's Championship in BelleAir, Florida. No one yet in contention, but Lindy Duncan (+1, T35) leads a sizable Duke contingent -- Celine, Mina Harigae, Leona, and Brittany Lang. Yu Liu finished at +4 but was then DQed -- can't find out why as yet.

Per "GolfPunkHQ.com [whatever] -- "Meanwhile, Yu Liu was disqualified for bizarrely failing to sign her scorecard."

Streelman tees off tomorrow at 10:12 off #10 tee
Long tees off at 10:45 off #1 tee

They will play in threesomes again.

Leaders tee off at 11:40, which leaves time (and sunlight) for a playoff if necessary. Camilo Villegas is now the sentimental favorite and is 2 strokes behind Streb, who is -14.

    Saturday at Sea Island RSM

Our man Adam Long was sailing through the round -- two under after nine -- until making a triple bogey on #10. He earned it. He had a drop after his tee shot into the woods and then he three-putted from 5'11". He is now T-29.

Streelman is +1 for the day and T-51.

Adam birdied three of the last four holes to recover to -1 for the day, -8 for the tournament and T-19. On par-3 17 and par-4 18, he had birdie putts of 5'8" and 3'10", shooting Lights out." The two-putt birdie on the par-5 15 was a tap-in.

Streels also finished at -1 and is T-41.

    Sundays’s tee times:
Streelman goes off #10 at 9:52
Long goes off #1 at 10:53.

Long is playing with Harris English, a local pro, so he may get some TV time.

Leaders tee off at 11:20. Streb still leads at -17, Zach Johnson is 3 strokes back. Should be lovely weather tomorrow.

Me either, but I just gave you the quote from the first article I found.

I don't know why all the tours don't funnel players into the scoring area and have officials checking to make sure scorecards are signed before they depart. Maybe they do, and Yu Liu had to scale a fence or crash through a gate to avoid turning in her card. I doubt it -- her score of +4, while disappointing, wouldn't have prevented her from making the cut if she played even par on Friday.
