Oh, hello Zeta! How long will permit us to have power and upright trees today? [Note: NOLa apparently got smacked last night, with hundreds of thousands without power. I believe I also saw a report of a levee breach. Hope our Big Easy DBR'ers are safe & sound.]

Looks like Forsyth County got hammered: https://poweroutage.us/area/state/north%20carolina

Up here in Maryland, we've seen almost 3" of rain, stream flooding but no power issues.

Nice! Years ago when I worked in Winston, I had a friend who had a greenhouse full of orchids. His power went out in an ice storm, killing all of them. He was remarkably sanguine.

Could his greenhouse possibly have contained more than orchids?

One of my girlfriend's friend is into orchids big time. (I guess it gets pretty competitive.) With all his grow lights, he had the cops knocking on door at least once.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."

Now, now. The location of the apostrophe was quite important in that statement.

Actually, it should have said "One of my girlfriend's friends," with an "s" on the end. If it had been phrased that way, it would have been clear. /grammar nerd rant
"We are not provided with wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can take for us, an effort which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world." --M. Proust

I was just making it abundantly clear that she has only one friend.
