I mentioned to some friends that we should just reuse the list of names but in Pig Latin.

It is really gonna suck when you have to tell your grandkids about the time Hurricane Erthabay forced you to evacuate.
Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

Yeah, the weather news this morning was that Texas should keep an eye on a tropical depression that was likely to become TS Wilfred. Now we get to keep an eye on TS Beta instead.

Well that's only fitting, last week was Rush. Next up TS Gamma Phi.

And now there are no storms in the Atlantic or Gulf and no weather pockets that are likely to turn into a tropical depression in the next few days.

Don't drink the water. There might be brain eating amoebas in it.

That reminds me of one of my favorite kid jokes.

(Puts hand on someone's head and squeeze while making slurping sounds)

Know what this is? Brain eating alien.

    Know what it's doing? Starving.

    Ka-boom.

You can't get the brain infection from swallowing the ameoba. So that's good. Still don't really want that stuff in my drinking water.

OK, how do you get it? Or, more importantly, not get it? Can you get it washing your face and getting some up your nose or in your eyes?

You get it by having it go up your nose with great force. Since it lives in fresh water, most cases come from jumping from a height into a body of fresh water, and thus having the organism inoculated up into the back of your nose.

There have been a few documented cases of geting the amoeba while doing a nasal rinse with a neti pot.

True. Extremely rare, but well documented.

    Use Simply Saline. It's sterile.

Must be at least somewhat widespread, too...as that slogan was mentioned in a Yom Kippur sermon today. I couldn't make that up if I tried.
