I have not read one article where he was considered a Duke-Lean! Not one expert thought he would end up at Duke. Nobody saw this coming!
Though, I must admit ... This is my favorite type of recruit commit! He never hinted at a specific school as the leader, he kept everything close to his chest, then dropped a shocking commitment out of virtually NOWHERE!!!
I’ve watched a few videos on him and I’ll definitely admit that I really like his game. I haven’t been able to come up with a past Duke baller comparison, though. Maybe a Jabari Parker with much better rebounding instincts?! He appears to have a great motor and he’s very down to earth and liked by his peers.
The question I have - Has there been any word on a package deal with him? It seems like package deals are becoming the norm. I thought I heard at one point him and Chandler considered hooking-up but he’s already committed to Tennessee.

Welcome Paolo!
Watching his highlights, I’m struck by his variety of moves and ability to hit shots all over the floor. A bit like Jayson Tatum in that way. Jabari is probably a better comp given his size and strength inside.
His shooting stroke looks very pure. He looks absolutely college ready and should be a force for the good guys from game one. With his high motor, I’m not seeing any shortcomings in his game.

Great news! Welcome Paolo! This reminds me so much of the Sat.night two years ago that Zion made the commitment to the Brotherhood,just out of nowhere. No one, especially me, thought we had a chance to get Banchero! Overjoyed!!
