I dare anyone to be worse than that!
Team CDu, and I am sure a few others, are looking worse. I am T37, T37, T52, MC, MC, MC. Thankfully this contest is a marathon and not a sprint, because otherwise I would be toast already.

Ancer and Leishman did me no favors,’but were 13 and 14 in the standings coming into the week, so will likely play on. Hatton could really help, as could Rahm and Matsuyama. And hopefully Rory plays to his potential.

    Not so good today:

Streels went +4 in the last five holes and is at -5, T55.
Adam Long went +1 for -6 and T50.
Justin Thomas shot even par and is T36.
All three of these guys dropped significantly on the leaderboard.

Webb Simpson holding his own, finishing at -3 and T13.

Finau and Morikawa both missed the cuts. They were mortal locks for the top ten IMHO (where the H got lost in Ben Hogan's golf bag).

Wow. Was that weird to watch roll in an eagle putt on 18 and have essentially no reaction. No roar from the crowd, nothing from DJ. Just a long putt that rolled in and pushed him to -22.

I mean... if my three highest value players were not utter disasters, i would be in great shape heading into the final round. Sigh...

    Morikawa - cut
    DeChambeau - cut
    Finau - cut
    Hatton - 9th
    Berger - 5th
    Ancer - cut
    Palmer - 15th

By the way, for all the folks who have Finau. He is currently projected to drop to 28th in the FedEx Cup standings. He will need at least a decent showing next week to stay in the top 30 and qualify for the Tour Championship. Yikes! Adam Long (25th) and Kevin Streelman (26th) are also in some danger of not making the Tour Championship.

Team Rich has been renamed "DJ and the Thirty-Fours."

I have DJ at 1 and three guys T34 at -7 (plus one missed cut).

Talk about keeping the pressure on. At this point it feels like he is going to end up around -31!

I saw something to the effect that Ernie Els and Jordan Spieth are the only players in the past 50 years to finish -30 or better. Believe the record is -31.

Stricker doesn't really count, as it was the first 72 holes of 1 90-hole tournament. Ernie Els' total score was not as low as DJ's 'cuz the Mercedes event in Hawaii was ona par 73 course. This is from some random web site, so other sources may be needed:
    Steve Stricker

The player with the best all-time 72-hole score of 33-under par, Steve Stricker, didn't do well enough in the last 18 holes to secure his victory against Pat Perez, who scored 30-under par (another top score) in the first 72 holes.

    Ernie Els

However, the player with the best score in a single 72-hole PGA Tournament (that isn't played past 72 holes) is Ernie Els, who scored 31-under par at the 2003 Mercedes Championship.

    Jordan Spieth

During the 2016 Hyundai Tournament of Championship, Jordan Spieth scored 30-under in another tournament of the same length, making him and Ernie Els the only two golfers in Tour history to finish at 30-under or better in Tour tournaments.

Congrats to rsvman for winning the first leg of the playoffs! I was going back and forth between DJ and Webb for 7, and so far it looks like I made the wrong call. When DJ wins he has another gear that other players can't seem to match. Super impressive domination from him.

I suppose he is ranked high enough to qualify for East Lake, but I wonder...
