5.1 magnitude, largest in 94 years. Sparta NC is 3-4 miles from the Virginia border and about 40 miles west of Mt. Airy (by mountain roads).

Early reports from our farm have a couple picture frames down off the wall and a drinking glass that walked off a counter, but nothing structural that’s obvious.

The Govenator was in Sparta yesterday. 25 Spartan homes condemned as uninhabitable so far. Also a big crack appeared.
