And none have been better than the original.

Wish all of you would be slower with your Trigger finger with these puns.

Thanks to all of you for making this highlight of my day possible. So excited that Gary Larson has new work out.

Alas, my brain is full too, and I do not have the smarts to reproduce it here, but one of my favorites was as follows:

In a children's playground, there is a slide with hand rails all the way to the bottom, and across the bottom railings sits a big spiderweb with two spiders in it. At the top of the slide is one of Larsen's classic Puggsley-like fat kids with Coke-bottle glasses on, about to go down. Then at the bottom, one spider says to the other, "Yeah, but if it DOES work, we'll eat like kings!"

Yes! There it is! But funny how one's memory works after all these years. I would have bet money there was a fat kid with classic Larsen glasses and striped shirt at the top of the slide. Good thing I've never had to be a witness in a murder trial... Thanks for this, DevilDeac.

My pleasure. I chortled when you mentioned this cartoon as it's been one of my favorites for decades, too. I vaguely remember the fat kid, err, calorically challenged person, at the top of the slide, too, but, I have trouble remembering dinner yesterday, too, sometimes. (kidding about the last part; my memory is still really good)

Memory is a strange thing. I mentioned earlier in the thread that I remembered one of my favorites as having squirrels as the main characters, but when I looked it up it was really dogs. Not really even close, but I remembered the caption word for word.

Not a Far Side but I've always had a fascination with the grim reaper in cartoons. Used to have quite a few collected but have lost them it seems. Still one of my faves...

If anyone has any comics with death/grim reaper, please share.
