Quinn is now 4th on the list of all time richest basketball players, one slot above his old teammate, LeBron James (5).

But seriously, I ran into this link a few weeks ago and keep checking to see if it has been corrected.
It's amusing that Quinn got mixed up with someone else, although I can't figure out who. All the other big names appear to be on the list. Whoever wrote this must not know much about basketball.

I read the headline and figured he found oil or something.
Well, the first thing you know, Quinn Cook's a billionaire,
LeBron James said, "Quinn, move away from there!"
He said, "California is the place you ought to be
'Cause I need a man from Duke, not a schmuck from UNC."
Quinn could be a great investor for all we know. He may have gotten in early on GameStop. Interesting that Jordan, Johnson and Cook all won the NCAA championship and multiple NBA championships. Interesting to see Junior Bridgeman up there- he clearly managed his post NBA career very well.

That article is all kinds of wrong. I mean... Chris Paul has made 300 million in salary alone. And that's just one example.
Here is a little about Quinn's investments: https://www.forbes.com/sites/michael...dent-athletes/
I agree that his salary (career earnings of $6 Million) would not provide enough capital to account for a net worth of $500 Million unless he hit a homerun in cryptocurrencies. https://www.spotrac.com/nba/clevelan...cash-earnings/Not only has Cook utilized his time with Golden State and Los Angeles to elevate his playing profile, but he’s expanding his off-court ventures as well, relying on former and current teammates to help guide him in business and investments. Cook’s financial interests include blockchain technology, AI, machine learning, direct-to-consumer goods, SaaS, and consumer/traction services.
Quinn also does not appear on the Forbes site itself: https://www.forbes.com/athletes/list/ where he would have been shown in the Top 5.
Here it says Quinn's net worth is $500 thousand. https://www.celebritynetworth123.com...ook-net-worth/
And here between $100 thousand and $1 million. https://www.celebsmoney.com/net-worth/quinn-cook/
It seems they slipped a few digits. You can download a spreadsheet from the Forbes site (for a fee) and whoever did the compiling for therichest.com messed up.

'When I got on the bus for my first road game at Duke, I saw that every player was carrying textbooks or laptops. I coached in the SEC for 25 years, and I had never seen that before, not even once.' - David Cutcliffe to Duke alumni in Washington, DC, June 2013
How would this effect this ongoing perception that he is destined to coach?
