    Falafel or Jerky?

June 12th is both National Jerky Day and International Falafel Day.

Personally, I'm much more in the Jerky camp.

My favorite is the green chile flavor from Vigil's in Albuquerque.

Note that they run random sales quite often, so if you are a fan, get on their email list or Facebook page so you know when they happen.

What odd things to choose between but I’ll play.

    Jerky.

Ok. Glue or a Mallard Duck?

    Cake or death?

(warning, language — as you might expect from such a choice

Falafel (with homemade pita) -- unless of course it's convenience store falafel that's sealed in plastic and has been hanging on a wire rack for as long as the weenies have been rotating.

I'm sorry I missed posting this yesterday, June 11 for National Day Calendar:

National Corn on the Cob Day
    National German Chocolate Cake Day

    Hope y'all enjoyed.

You’ve seen falafels in a convenience store? Where do you live?

Had some of both last PM as part of a Greek take-out order. Tasty.

Yeah, that was a failed attempt at humor implying there's lots of bad, processed jerky to be had at gas stations. I've had the good stuff, some homemade, but I'd still opt for falafel 'cause I lean vegetarian these days.

    Falafel!

Never understood the jerky thing. Old, dry meat. Yuck.

    Don't like either one.

Bad jerky can make you falafel.
    (apologies)
