Pat Dye spent one year in Laramie coaching the Wyoming Cowboys. I attended several games. His team was entertaining with the wishbone offense. The game against BYU and Jim McMahon was played in a snowstorm. I left at the half with the game tie 14-14 so we could get over the Summit before I80 to Cheyenne was closed. Wyo won the game 33-20. I wish I could have seen the 2nd half. Dye left that spring for ECU. I think the weather got him. 😀
I totally remember that game. Brutal conditions. And I loved Jimmy Mac.
