Sadness in Detroit for our Tiger Hall of Famer. Lived a good life and was devoted to the city and the team.
    Rest well Mr. Kaline.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

A great player and a great person. One of my favorites when I was growing up.

RIP and prayers for the family.

Kaline was kind of the American League Stan Musial analog. By all accounts a class act. A grinder. Just went out and did his job, every single day. Played his entire career with one franchise. Remarkably consistent. Sometimes a Rocky Colavito or a Norm Cash or a Willie Horton would have a better individual season than Kaline for the Tigers but Kaline just sustained excellence year after year after year.

    One of the greats.
