Honor Blackman (yes, Miss Galore) has passed at 94

Unforgettable to generations of men, and hopefully an icon to women as well for being a tough Bond woman. She wasn't a damsel in distress.

    R.I.P.

Edit: Funny, I just watched Goldfinger, and Thunderball is in the DVD player. One of my quarantine goals is to watch the Bonds in order.

A sad day, indeed. She was captivating as a beautiful but strong, self-assured, and talented Ms. Galore (that's the best I can get past the wankerizer) in Goldfinger, though she ultimately proved vulnerable to the charms of James Bond. But I thought she was most irresistible as Cathy Gale in The Avengers -- not only strong, self-assured, and talented, but tantalizingly unattainable.

Neither was George Lazenby, who co-starred with the other Bond/Avengers actress. Ms Rigg was also deliciously unattainable, and actually landed the unattainable Bond. James Bond.

Yea, Kitty Galore doesn't quite capture the character/intent here .

    Excellent obit

The Washington Post has an excellent obituary up on Ms. Blackman. Very impressive career.
