Yeah, I think it’s an improvement. But I decided to go with a beard about 18 months ago so I may be biased. And, I share the whole gray thing with him.

Every silver lining has a touch of gray.

    If I may

To paraphrase someone, I don't give a **** about North Carolina, Roy, or his beard.

As long as he’s not wearing one of those outrageous sport coats I’m happy.

Coronavirus beards are a thing. I grew one for a few weeks, and many of my friends did too. Unfortunately it came in a lot grayer than I had hoped, with random blotches scattered around my face. Hopefully the beard is the only thing I have in common with Roy.

I agree with you. Roy has always wanted to be your local "billy bob" anyway. Suits him for the character he likes to play for the media

I announced to my wife that I was not going to shave my beard during the whole virus thing, and let it just grow out as shaggy as nature intended.

The silent reproach in her quick-cut glare told me that was a bad idea.

So, beard trimmed. Couch ain’t that comfy.

It took a pandemic to inspire you? C'mon, man, let it grow!

LOL. When growing a beard, I have 4-5 days between when it is stubble and when it is a beard where it looks really scruffy. I work in a pretty buttoned down business where I couldn't go to work looking like that, so I have only grown one briefly a few times when on vacation.

I kept this beard for three weeks then finally got rid of it when I didn't feel like trimming it and I thought the gray blotches made me look like Rasheed Wallace. Because one of the only things as bad as having something in common with Roy is having something in common with Rasheed.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite Cameron cheers ever - "I'm gonna wash that gray right out of my hair" for Rasheed.

Beards are discouraged during the pandemic. It causes masks to not fit as snuggly as possible.*

*I’m growing one also, as I am not leaving my house much. If I do venture out, I shave first.
