In the fan voting tournament, apparently Duke was just unlucky in its bracket placement by having to face a juggernaut Rutgers in the second round. Rutgers won the tournament (and no round was even close), beating a final four of Seton Hall, Michigan, and Maryland.
Checking back in on the FiveThirtyEight tournament, they had a final four Kansas v Maryland (a rematch of 2002) and Michigan St. v SDSU. The championship will be Kansas v Michigan St., which among all these different simulations is one of the most traditional.
The reddit tournament, which is being played on an old version of NCAA 2K8, was delayed about two weeks when the game makers needed a new disc. As many noted, Duke lost in the second round to West Virginia (I've heard that story before...). Well, having resumed play, West Virginia has made it all the way to the final four, where they will be joined by Gonzaga, Seton Hall and BYU. Quite a collection of non-traditional powers! Games are being broadcast live on youtube.
And finally, in the NY Post simulation, Duke made it to the championship game, but lost to Seton Hall.
