Still my favorite. I watch that, and listen to Alice’s Restaurant, every Turkey Day.

Alice's Restaurant was a good movie and a great album that I've watched/listened to several times. Partly because I have a personal connection to the movie, having hung out with Alice (Pat Quinn) from the movie. Pat's son Chance was a friend of my son through youth sports teams. She was funny, smart, had lots of Hollywood stories but also one of the biggest stoners I've ever met! So was Chance as I found out later when I caught my 8yo son smoking with him! One night she called and asked if we could babysit Chance overnight. We said sure, what's up? She said she and Bob were going out on a date. Bob? Yeah, Dylan, you knew he and I were off and on didn't you? We tried to get her to bring my favorite lyricist by after her date but sadly he wasn't into socializing.

Of course when you live in LA area for a while (this was actually the San Fernado Valley) such encounters with the stars aren't that uncommon. Two houses down from me lived Daisy Duke. Nicest, most down to earth person ever. She actually saw me teaching my son how to ride a bike and she came over and helped! Unfortunately she wasn't wearing her signature shorts.
