Duke all alone in first; UNC all alone in 15th. I'm quite confident this is the first time that's happened, and I'm going to enjoy it for as long as it lasts, even if the season doesn't finish that way. Also, it's February 17 and only 4 teams are above .500 - the mediocre middle is expansive this year.

Also, BC's season merits a little special attention - their 7 wins have been by 3, 4 (in OT), 1, 5, 7, 1, and 7, for a total of 28 points ahead across those wins. Their 8 losses have been by 39, 19, 26, 18, 2, 17, 8, and 27. That's how you get to a middle-of-the-conference record with a worst-in-the-conference scoring margin.

This will get lost in the shuffle, but I highly encourage anyone that starts the weekly threads to transfer it. This is my favorite ACC tournament seeding simulator. Even though we all know what Duke has to do, it is useful to watch and predict (a) Duke's future opponents; and (b) how quickly UNC clinches last place.

I don’t have a Kenpom subscription so had to go back to the first “This Week in the ACC” thread of the season to find the cheats initial ranking which appears to be... #6.

The cheats have fallen, and they can’t get up.

I’m watching the ND-Carolina game, and watching this product on the floor, I can’t for the life of me figure out why any top recruit (Walker Kessler, Ziaire Williams, etc) would chose to go to UNC. (And I know Ziaire hasn’t committed, but they are on his final list).

I watched all the high school all star games last spring, and Cole Anthony looked like a combination of Luca Doncic and Trae Young. It’s unbelievable to me how much he has regressed this year.

And that totally ignores Roy’s “system”, which has never seemed very player-friendly for top tier talent.
