Here's a brief piece on the myocarditis issue: https://yourlocalepidemiologist.subs...t-and-vaccines
Based on this, it doesn't seem to be a real problem, but more info is needed.

I I met a porter I did not like. I did not think it was possible, Founders. I bought a six pack and couldn't wait to crack one. At the first taste, it was "sus" as the kids say. It then began to spiral downward towards a Cat 1 IMO. Anyway, I have five remaining. As an aside, I have Scottie Barnes brother in my class. I was thinking about buying an FSU jersey for him to sign but changed my mind.
Man, they are trying everything, hats off to the Gov. He's taking the jabs everywhere to entice The Recalcitrants...beaches, ice cream parlors, everywhere...channeling his inner Winston Churchill, we will jab you on the landing grounds, we will jab you in the fields, we will jab you in the streets...
He's even trying logic for the Whiners: 76% of the eligible population here has at least one jab (maybe higher by now), and he's stated that the day we hit 80%, everything opens up, bars, restaurants, you name it...otherwise his commitment is to open everything up on July 4, but we'd all appreciate an earlier start.

for those who get the WaPo, interesting timeline on how the notion of the virus emanating from a lab is gaining a lot more credence...it's not just your crazy uncle's crackpot theory any more, but still nothing definitive.
A New Yorker article a few months back showed how the Chinese hampered the original investigation (despite WHO statements to the contrary) but they do that on lots of things, so in and of itself it's not a smoking gun...
Upthread I expressed my disappointment that the WIV lab leak theory was not being discussed dispassionately. In particular, I felt that media coverage was too quick to latch on to conclusory statements by a handful of scientists who could not have known all that much at the time.
I am happy to see that turning around: https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...came-credible/

Lengthy article from Nicholas Wade comparing "natural bat origin" and "lab escape" theories of SARS-CoV-2 origin.

Also, a tweet rebutting one portion of Wade's article.

Here's an article criticizing Wade's hypothesis, in that noted liberal publication, Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/startsw...m-a-wuhan-lab/
I don't know enough to know who's right, but Wade has drawn a lot of criticism for this piece.
I stopped reading the Forbes article as soon as it started focusing on “conspiracy theories” and “biological weapons.” Why are so many people spending so much time talking about these two things?
Assuming the virus is 100% natural in origin, it is hardly a conspiracy theory to inquire whether the virus crossed over into the human population in a lab or in a different location. There is certainly some basis for speculating that it happened in the lab context, as noted in the WaPo timeline I linked above.
No one has enough information to make any conclusions on this point and I wish more journalists would be more upfront about this. Too many of them seem to want to argue with crackpots instead of cover the actual question.
Maybe. It also seems like a slant piece from a controversial author as opposed to a purely objective analysis by Wade. Nearly every sentence in the "natural" section is laced with derogatory statements. And as has been noted in the tweet mentioned in the previous post, his article is potentially based on very questionable statements that he is taking as his strong evidence that covid was man-made.
It might well be true that it is manmade, but I don't think this slant piece should be persuasive.
