    Remember what Kareem had to say about high tops

    He never wore them because ankles recover quickly. If you wear high tops or if you tape up your ankles, and then you come down wrong, all the pressure goes to the knee, which heals slowly.

    So Joey will be making buckets again soon enough.

    I've always hated them too! I would roll or twist my ankle and be fine within 48 hours or so. All the kids wearing high tops would be in crutches for a couple weeks it seemed.
