The ones I know (and they are many) don’t “hate” Manning (they hated Bzdelik), they just don’t think Manning is The Guy and want him gone. They had grown very weary of Ron Wellman, but think the jury is still out on Currie. But, yes, they are way more wound-up about Newman than they are interested in the basketball team.

Totally agree with you, Tripping William. Hate is too strong a word to use about their feelings towards Manning - I was just quoting budwom. The Wake grads in my family think he is probably a nice guy; it is just past time for him to go. And they, too, are taking a wait and see attitude about new AD John Currie.

Speaking of Bzdelik, has everyone seen him on the bench as an assistant coach for The Pelicans? I believe he is actually the associate head coach. Truly a strange career arc, but he returned to his roots in the NBA after leaving Wake, and has had success with the Grizzlies, Rockets, and now Pelicans as a defensive specialist.

I made the move to YouTube TV last year after decades on cable and dishes. Unlimited dvr. All the channels I want. Super easy to watch on any device. Only downside is occasionally I’ll get the dreaded spinning wheel on my TV if there’s an internet or device glitch but I can always resolve it in less than a minute. Saving a lot of money. I’d say all the pros outweigh than one con. But you do want to have good high speed internet.

This has been a complete mismatch. Offense looks fantastic and defense has been relentless. Wake probably has 5 points more than it should due to some good fortune.

It’s incredible to me how many ACCN analysts clearly haven’t watched the team this year and are still judging it off of last year’s scouting report. Jack White is shooting just fine this year thank you. That storyline is literally a year old.
