Duke getting some separation from the pack on KenPom. Above 30 AdjEM for the first time this year. I think the first of any team over 30 this year.

    Fine win!!

Also, we played some zone in 2nd half, can recall any in first. I was switching back-and-forth to play-off games, (sorry).

I love this team and it's depth, hustle and defense. Hitting more 3's and FT's is also nice. Nice ceiling this year. Hope I can make it down for a game. Looking to go to ACC Tourney in G'boro.

    GO DEVILS!!!

10 guys played double figure minutes in an ACC game. What in God’s name is happening here!?

It's hard to know what to say about this...we were so comprehensively good that the two friends I was watching with at the end were basically punch drunk arguing about how the "music of the game" is actually sneakers, not talking. I will say, awesome to see the return of Great Cassius. And what is up with O'Connell starting and then playing like 7 minutes total? Is Coach K trying to make it happen but then quickly losing faith?

I'm not sure it's quite reflected in the stats, but Wendell keeps getting closer and closer to being an incredible force for us.

Also, I think the last two games show that contrary to popular belief and repeated wisdom at the start of the season, Tre Jones does not need to score like crazy in order for this team to be successful.

Final thought: I haven't checked comprehensively, but I'm pretty sure this is the highest point total for a road ACC game at least since 2010. We have definitely never reached 100 in that span, and I think this is tops.

Highest ACC road point total since scoring 96 at Maryland during JJ’s senior year.

ETA: In 2002, we hit 95 twice on the road in conference play (98 at Clemson, 95 at Georgia Tech) and, as a bonus, went for 104 in Ann Arbor. That team never scored fewer than 73 points, a number it hit twice in games I do not care to remember.
Just be you. You is enough. - K, 4/5/10, 0:13.8 to play, 60-59 Duke.

You're all jealous hypocrites. - Titus on Laettner

You see those guys? Animals. They're animals. - SIU Coach Chris Lowery, on Duke

Is Duke driving the ball more with this team or do my eyes deceive me?

And we had the unusual occurrence of a starter -- O'Connell -- playing the least minutes of the ten most used players.

First Duke win I’ve seen live since Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker dunked all over a Miami team a few years back.

I have said it a few times — I went to my undergrad at Miami. But my parents both went to duke and my first word was duke. The past 3 games I wore a black shirt as to appear neutral, all were losses. I wore my duke 2018 ACC champs shirt today and was so elated to see a win.

    Here are my thoughts, though nobody asked for them;

    1. I am cheering like hell for Alex but he’s lost a step this year. His first few minutes were very rough. After the contested airball three with nearly a full shot clock, K yanked him. The poor kid looked beyond dejected on the bench.

    2. Speaking of bench: this surprised me. Though Tre appears to be the unquestioned leader, it was Wendell Moore who was pumping guys up and rallying the troops after the slow-ish start.

    3. Continuing with Wendell — you know those people who are ugly in photos but gorgeous in person? Apply that to basketball. His stat sheet is bleh but his impact on the court is impossible to overstate. It’s a tired but accurate comparison; I see a ton of Justise in his game.

    4. My first time seeing Red Panda. I yelled so much I lost my voice. She is an absolute gem.

    Good night Duke friends.

Good game on all cylinders. Trending in the right direction with room to grow. Alex will be fine, he just needs to be more decisive. I saw Red Panda live in November for first time. Amazing to watch.

I think someone has mentioned it before, but it bears repeating. The only game this season that Duke lost is when they played 7 players.

    From the official Box:

Carey, Stanley, and Hurt combine for 25-33 FG shooting
    Chris Lykes 2-15 FG
    41-24 rebounding edge

Lots of positives from this game with the exception of AOC's play.

10 man rotation in the ACC.

Everybody pinch themselves in case its a dream

Lost in all the accolades is the rise of Jordan Goldwire.

He has improved leaps and bounds in his Junior season and is now a legit offensive threat, not just a defensive "gimmick".

AOC probably contracted "starter's disease" () as K phrased it and Jim Sumner referenced it after Baker's sub-par showing as a starter against BC, IIRC.

    From Coach K's postgame comments:

They’re good. I think they got worn out. We played very, very well. Not well, we played two ‘verys’ at least.
We have more depth and when we went to the bench we didn’t drop, at times we ascended.”

    High praise.
