I'm a casual NBA observer, mainly because of the Duke guys, and a huge Zion fan. I'd like to see him play when ready this year and have the Pelicans carefully monitor his playing time.

The Pelicans currently have the 6th worst record in the NBA. I would hate to see them tank but holding Zion out may well secure them a lottery pick.

Yeah, I hear you. Coach K is old school, in a good way.

Old school is, by definition, good.

Few mean school as old as I, though. My school is so old, all the students were in one cave ...

This was my first thought upon reading the article yesterday.

Or maybe if you don’t change some things about Zion he’s going to just continue getting injured. I’d rather take my chances with the Pelican’s approach. Maybe he’ll be better than ever and more likely to have a long, healthy career.

This is supposed to be optimistic, Zion dunking again:

But those dunks aren't Zion dunks!

He's getting closer to playing. Zion had his first full practice with the the Pelicans team.

This guy claims there is merit to changing some of Zion's mechanics to lessen the pressure on his body that comes from his unusual combo of size/athleticism...

    thanks,

Pretty interesting stuff. The middle 10 minutes were great and made up for the first two minutes where I thought he was gonna try to sell me some Ginsu knives and the last minute where he went all Scottie Pippen.
