Way too early for 2025 recruiting speculation, but I imagine there will be some interaction between Coach Cut and the Mannings about Arch somewhere along the line.

Waiting for Gunnar film? Not much, but damn I am hoping for a fun football season!

Duke and Virginia are the only two ACC schools that have not allowed student athletes back on campus.

Interesting. Duke offers a top JUCO defensive lineman.

ESPN's Coastal Division Preview: https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...ech-ahead-pack. Unless I missed it, they don't actually predict the final standings but do a general overview of each team. They do say they expect UNC, Miami and Va Tech to be the leaders due to their known returning QBs.
Who knows what the season will look like, but anything to read about the team/season works for me.
Duke football players will be back on campus on July 12. Stay safe guys.
It may be time to start a new thread for the 2020 season. Go Duke!

Dan Hicks has joined the team as a new position coach. Defensive backs, maybe? Anyone have info?

'When I got on the bus for my first road game at Duke, I saw that every player was carrying textbooks or laptops. I coached in the SEC for 25 years, and I had never seen that before, not even once.' - David Cutcliffe to Duke alumni in Washington, DC, June 2013
who can forget Dan Hicks and The Hot Licks????
This particular version is from NJ evidently, a place where Duke recruited many fine football athletes and then forgot about the state...we should have a MUCH bigger football recruiting presence there...duke's name is worth something there, and there are a lot of good academic, good football schools...
I wouldn't mind having Spurrier back, that's for sure.
Any Duke fan who has been around for multiple decades has to remember a whole lot of NJ kids who excelled for us...somehow, as staffs have changed and focus has shifted towards the hotbeds of GA and FL, the Garden State has been forgotten.
Duke has a great rep in NJ, we've had some great players from there in the past, (Joe Giles Harris most recently), so if Mr. Dan Hicks can work his Hot Licks up that way again, that would be great...
It's interesting how different coaches have different geographical emphases. Remember when Red Wilson targeted Missouri seemingly out of nowhere and had some successes there? Ron Sally, Mark Millitello, others. Then Wilson goes away and Missouri goes back off Duke's radar.
But yes, I agree with Buddy's premise. New Jersey would seem to be a profitable field for Duke to till. It's not like Rutgers has a wall around the state.
Has there been any announcement of this hire, twitter or otherwise?
