    Return of ABBA

ABBA has announced a digital Avatar tour, sometime around Christmas. Two new songs will be released, "I Still Have Faith In You", and "Don't Shut Me Down".
Although they were a bit too much pop for my taste, still liked a lot of their music. And the ladies weren't bad either..lol
It has been over 35 years since the Swedish quartet has worked together, but all indications are the project has been a smooth endeavor. Just wish the Beatles had done this.

35 years is just about enough time to get over too much time together syndrome.

Unfortunately, very unfortunately, this would have been impossible.

Don't start a contest of torturing ABBA lyrics.

    I'll win easily.

I'll just quote Mama Mia 2.

Ah, Fernando. Easily my favorite ABBA song, with completely nonsensical lyrics. At one point I thought perhaps it was about the Spanish Civil War, but no.

Not that I want to get in trouble for getting too serious about this topic , but it really startled me when I watched a few videos on the group, and the genesis of "The Winner Takes It All" was explained.

The song was written by Bjorn so that his soon to be ex-wife Agnetha could express what he thought she would feel about their divorce. Several of the crew members mentioned how amazed they were that she could stand in front of an audience and sing the song without breaking up. It's pretty humbling when you realize how very personal and current it was.

And now back to our less serious and more fun musings
