Any other NFL head coaches who played at Duke?

    List of coaches: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/

Spurrier and Khayat have some Duke ties ...

Minor quibble, but Shanahan didn’t play at Duke. He transferred as a redshirt before ever seeing the field.

Scotty Glacken, Duke quarterback during the 1960's, coached at Georgetown University for 22 years, 1970-1992, bringing the program from club status to intercollegiate competition in 1973 at the Division III level. After he retired, Georgetown became a Division I-AA/FCS competitor in 1993.

I only meant 'played' as meaning 'on the team' -- would've been more precise to ask if any other former Duke football lettermen went on to become NFL head coaches:

Still a minor quibble, but I always understood that players didn't earn a letter unless they actually played in a game.

Don't know what the criteria are now for a letter or what they were in 1998 -- but Shannahan is listed as a letterman by Duke, so that's what I based it on.
