    James Marvel update

    Former Duke pitcher James Marvel made his major-league debut today for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Marvel started and took a 2-0 loss to the Cardinals. Marvel allowed two runs in five innings, a solid outing.

    He joins Marcus Stroman and doubles the number of former Duke players in the majors.

    Marvel pitched well against my Cardinals and had me worried for a while. We're trying to hold off the cubbies and we needed that win with games against the Nats and 7 against those cubbies coming up. GoDuke and GoRedbirds!
