Here's another interesting tidbit from that article:
"On Tuesday, Cutcliffe said John Gelotte is now working with tight ends after being recruited as an offensive tackle.
“He is so athletic to be as big a man as he is,” Cutcliffe said of the 6-5, 290-pound Gelotte. “I don’t know if he’s going to stay there but he brings something to this 2019 team that’s a little different.”
Moving from OT to TE ? Potentially a 6-5, 290 TE ?

This article is from August 2018 so it is dated but if you desire to understand Duke's offensive scheme it is well worth the time plus it includes multiple video clips:
https://www.cover1.net/duke-football...ones-playbook/
Article uses diagrams and video clips to talk the inside read, wide receiver screen, intermediate passing game and read-pass option (RPO).Starting at the very beginning, this playbook starts with the inside zone run. The Blue Devils, they normally run this out of ’11’ personnel (one tight end and one running back).
Enjoy.

Given all of our injury problems, perhaps we should consider taking a page out of Dartmouth’s practice playbook...

So maybe this is situational, or temporary, but we already have five scholarships tied up at the tight end position, and we've been having OT woes in recent years (how's that collarbone feeling, Mr. Jones?), so personally I'd just as soon see a promising young OT like Gelotte back at his original position...I guess we'll see...

Whatcha talkin' bout, ESPN? Around these parts, we've all heard of Deon Jackson.15. Deon Jackson, RB/KR, Duke: Jackson is one of the most fun players you probably haven't heard of.
