For a great hamburger, the Green Truck is a can't miss. Its an old fast food restaurant of some sort that looks, from the outside, like it has been abandoned. Of course, the overflowing parking lot will disabuse you of that notion very quickly.

For a slightly more refined meal, Cotton and Rye is fantastic.

Second votes here for both Zunzi's and the Green Truck. I also like Crystal Beer Parlor for lunch. Pirate's House is pretty cool.

17Hundred90 is a favorite for a nice dinner, but is pricey. They have good wines and often have live piano. And it's off the beaten path a little.

Leopold's ice cream on Broughton is also a nice treat. So is Byrd's Cookies.

Like someone else mentioned, a trip out to Ft. Pulaski and Tybee is a nice drive. Maybe climb the lighthouse.

There are some decent short riverboat cruises, and of course, River Street is jumping most any night. Maybe weezie was thinking of Kevin Barry's.

Other than that, my only suggestion is watch the hurricane map.

jacone21 recommends Leopold's Ice Cream. Definitely second that. Great place for ice cream and desserts.

Not sure if previously mentioned, but check out the site of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil; plenty of history in Savannah that includes a memorial for John Wesley, who lived in Savannah as he was starting the Methodist Church.

Churchills Pub is a good stop.
