I like the way Scheyer coaches. Lots of positive energy. Looks like the guys are working hard but also enjoying the practice, and they clearly have a great rapport with Jon.

    Jon has the look.
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'

HUGE HUGE problem here, absolutely NO defense. It looks to be a very long and disappointing season to come.

Is now a good time to start updating the minutes discussion? Looks like 10 guys will see action at all time based on the video.

Has to go to White. Heard he hasn’t missed a three all summer.

Everyone on the team is "too talented not to play."

I have this feeling every summer and early fall.
“Those two kids, they’re champions,” Krzyzewski said of his senior leaders. “They’re trying to teach the other kids how to become that, and it’s a long road to become that.”

    Fear the beard!

Interview with him starts at the :25 mark of this video (talks a lot about Coach K and lessons learned)
I don't know what you are doing right now, but if you aren't listening to the DBR Podcast, you're doing it wrong.

The Paul Bunyan action-figure was a staple in Minnesota toy boxes in the 80’s...

I wonder if Nick has a blue pet Ox named Babe?

Has to be a 2nd Nick Horvath. Can’t be same guy we saw at Duke.

Virtually no end to interesting things about Nick Horvath. Just check a bit of his bio from Wiki:

In 1998, Horvath helped lead USA to a gold medal at the World Youth Games in Moscow. He finished as USA's seventh-leading scorer (7.2 ppg) and fourth-leading rebounder (5.7 rpg).[24]

Horvath earned the naturalised spot on the New Zealand Tall Blacks squad to compete in the 2008 Olympics Qualifying Tournament. In his only tournament with the Tall Blacks, Horvath averaged 3.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in three games.[25]

On March 28, 2008, Horvath married Sheree Phillips, a former Black Sticks hockey player.[11] The couple have two children.[23]

With his retirement from playing basketball, Horvath, a long-time physics teacher at Palmerston North Boys' High School, became the coach of the school's top basketball team.[23]
