With Kevin White coming from Notre Dame, perhaps he can recruit a McGraw assistant to Duke for 2021/22 as head coach. McCallie never elevated the Duke program to the level of a Top Tier program.

NC State just landed a big grad-transfer. She's only 5'4", but she is the reigning Big West Player of the Year. She averaged 19.8 points per game on 46 percent shooting this past season, in addition to 5.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.6 steals. For a team that lost it's top two guards, this is a big deal.

PS - NC State is the only ACC schools who's Men's and Women's basketball teams ended the season with wins.
Have watched Sue Gordon on CNBC on cybersecurity issues. Captain of Duke in 1980.

Here's some unwelcome news...
DWBB's APR was 2nd-lowest among all Duke sports, only above MBB (which I assume is seriously affected by one-and-done).
https://goduke.com/news/2020/5/19/at...pr-scores.aspx
But most telling, the program's score of 973 is below the national Division 1 average of 983 for WBB.

Edit: My count may not be perfect, but that puts us about #280 out of 350 schools. SMH

Basketball is significantly affected by just one player having academic issues. (Other small roster teams, such as golf, are affected as well, although our golf teams traditionally do very well.) In this period 2015-2019) I remember one freshman not continuing past her first Semester, an upperclassman having to leave for one semester (but rejoining the team and graduating, I believe) and another player reportedly having academic problems during her one year here. All apparently isolated issues That affected this score, and doesn’t show to me a systemic problem.
A score of 973, while not to typical Duke standards, isn't really a problem.
Not sure if their will be a WNBA Season this year.... but Leaonna Odom made the cut and will be on the roster. Congratulations to her.

Sadly, it's not the same good news for Haley Gorecki, as she was waived by Seattle.

Every team had to make the choices without having a training camp, which of course didn't help those that got cut.
Q "Why do you like Duke, you didn't even go there." A "Because my art school didn't have a basketball team."
Picked up a commitment for 2021 yesterday. Marisa Davis of Surprise Arizona. A 6'1 or 6'2 wing ... ranked 100 on the Hoopzgurlz site. Sounds like a Odom clone from the scouting report. Apparently she was dunking as an 8th grader.
From ESPN Hoopzgurlz Athletic perimeter prospect with off-the-charts potential; quick-leaper, rebounds and attacks coast-to-coast in uptempo; big 1st-step attack distances defenders, finishes to rim with regularity; best off the bounce, brings developing perimeter game to the arc. (Olson)

Some background on her...

Picked Duke over Oregon State, Utah, and Colorado State.
Wonder if that's an old ranking, she's not on the current 100. MaxPreps has her at 263.

She seems like a good kid who has overcome a lot. I wish her the best.
I am honestly not seeing that, can you provide a link? I'm seeing Keyarah Berry as #100.
