...a Deadpool. How appropriate.
Dead:
Iron Man,
Captain America,
Hawkeye,
War Machine,
Nebula, Rocket,
Thanos,
Tyrion,
Jamie,
Davos,
Theon,
Brienne,
The Hound,
Bronn,
Gendry,
Tormund,
Missendei,
Jorah
that's my list.
This weekend is (probably) going to kill a lot of pop culture characters from the biggest film and television franchises. How many are we going to lose? Here's the list of characters from which you should answer the above poll:
Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, Ant-man, Captain Marvel, Nebula, Rocket, Okoye, Thanos, Jon, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Tyrion, Jamie, Cersei, Daenerys, Davos, Theon, Brienne, Varys, The Hound, Bronn, Gendry, Tormund, Grey Worm, Missendei, Jorah, Gilly, Melisandre
That's who I judged to be the main alive characters in the movie, and who is officially listed as "main cast" in the TV show (I know you could probably argue for some others, but let's stick with this list).
Rules: If you're a zombie, wight, or ghost at the end of the weekend, you count as dead. If you're a white walker at the end of the weekend, you count as alive. If you died but came back to life and are alive at the end of the weekend due to magic from the Lord of Light, Melisandre, the Quantum Realm, a Snap, or the Time Stone you count as alive. If you're alive in an alternate universe, you count as alive. Any ambiguous case other than the ones listed above, Jason Evans is the judge (since he's banned from participating since he's seen the movie ahead of us). I know zero spoilers, so don't interpret any of the possibilities listed as anything other than my random guesses of what could happen.
But starting on Thursday night, this is a spoiler thread! Discussion of any deaths is fair game after the movie or TV show is out to the public. Which means I won't be revisiting the thread until the middle of next week. Poll closes on Saturday... use the honor system and don't vote on Friday if you see the movie Thursday night.

I'm guessing:
> All 6 original Avengers
> Missendei and Grey Worm (easiest pick of the whole list after their "let's run away after the war" convo)
> Theon and Brienne as the "major" deaths
> One of Nebula, Jorah, and Gilly
So, 11 in total...
Only voting on GoT deaths...I'll put this in the GoT thread, too. Mostly posting to have time-stamped proof I can show friends and family if I'm right. If I'm wrong, well, none of them post on DBR so I can still claim I knew it all along.
Definitely Survive
Jon – Have to resolve the Dany conflict/storyline
Sansa – She’s become smart, very smart. One of three people likely to kill/out-maneuver Cersei.
Bran – I understood his comments to mean if he dies, it’s game over for the world.
Samwell Tarly – Those books he stole + he’s going to write this history.
Lyanna Mormont – Would GoT have another horrifying child death? Hmmm, maybe.
The Hound – has to have a reckoning with his brother
Dany - See Jon.
Drogon - One dragon survives, at least.
Definitely Die
Theon – completes redemption arc somehow
Davos - It's onions for the onion knight.
Brienne – I mean, she JUST got knighted so she must die. Good things don't happen without dying in GoT.
Podrick – The whores of Kings Landing will miss you good sir
Gendry - I think he served his purpose in Ep 2
Tormund - Where are the rest of the wildlings?
Jorah – though he does something important. Maybe saves Lyanna to redeem himself?
Grey Worm and Missandei – I mean, c’mon with that retiring on a beach crap. Like a cop that gets it the day before retirement. You’re better than this GoT!
Varys – gets killed by dead children
Beric - finally dies
Ed - Guy has had a sneaky good run
Strongly Waffling
Arya – her storyline revolves around death, so it makes sense that she kills some WW leadership at some point, whether now or later. Also candidate to kill Cersei. Could see her get it, too, but that fancy weapon has some purpose clearly.
Jaime – Could easily see him die w/ Brienne but always thought his destiny was killing Cersei
Tyrion – Disagree with others that he was ever not a bit of a dummy but think he probably has to reckon with his family/Cersei to conclude his arc. Also have hunch he betrays Dany.
Gilly + Son – She’s with Sam in the crypts so she must survive…or die horribly.
Ghost (Nymeria?!?) – I can’t deal with the thought so don't ask me
Rhaegal - There must be some epic dragon battle with Viserion so one of them probably gets it.
Not in Winterfell
Cersei
The Mountain
Qyburn
Euron
Yara
Robin Arryn – Found another breast to stand up and suckle somewhere
Daario
Melisandre – Where is she?
What the heck are you guys talking about? Some of us are cultural idiots.

Here is some potentially helpful analysis from The Ringer.
You've got about 5 hours left to vote in the poll...
-Jason "now that some of y'all have seen Endgame, maybe you understand why I am torn about one character being dead or not... he's certainly not dead, but he's out of commission" Evans

Umm, hopefully all of them? That’s the only way I could define an EndGame. And seeing as I’ve seen maybe 5 of the men in tights films, well, I’m fine with that.
So, let me ask folks... is Cap a "death?" He certainly won't be appearing in the main timeline as a character any more (Avengers: Nursing Home).
Other than Cap, I did not see any other ambiguous deaths.

Cap is still warm. That qualifies as living, even if he is old.
I've given it some thought and I am inclined to agree.
So, here is the list:
Dead: Iron Man, Black Widow, Thanos (dies twice, but only counts as one), Theon, Jorah, Melisandre
Survived the weekend: Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, War Machine, Ant-man, Captain Marvel, Nebula**, Rocket, Okoye, Jon, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Tyrion, Jamie, Cersei, Daenerys, Davos, Brienne, Varys, The Hound, Bronn, Gendry, Tormund, Grey Worm, Missendei, Gilly
So, the answer to the poll question is 6. Congrats to Native for getting it right!
-Jason "did I miss anyone?" Evans
**- The 2014 version of Nebula does die (I am guessing) when Thanos and all his allies get dusted by Tony, but the Nebula that we know and love survives.

Ah, but who had the “best” death? My money’s 100% on Lyanna Mormont!
