It was a pretty bad night for Dukies in the league last night. A lot of them played, but few were the stars of their teams.

Indiana won again and Dunleavy is playing nicely for them. On a team that goes 10-deep and where no one really plays a ton of minutes, he led the team with 38 minutes played. He scored 15 points on just so-so 7-17 shooting. He added 7 boards and 3 assists.

With the Hawks starting C out with an injury, Shelden Williams played 29 minutes for Atlanta and pulled down 9 rebounds. He only scored 6 points though as the Hawks continue to do a poor job of putting him in position to be an offensive threat. Ah well, at least his team won, defeating Dallas in a shocker.

Corey Maggette had 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists for the Clippers as they topped Golden State in the first game of the "can we stay afloat until Elton comes back?" era in LA-LA land. As a non-Dukie aside, Chris Kamen had a huge game in the post for the Clips with 26 points and 18 boards. If he is playing well when Elton comes back, they will have one of the best front-lines in all of basketball.

Someone explain to me how the Lakers hung 119 points on the Suns with Kobe only scoring 16?!?! Grant Hills' new team looked terrible as they got whupped by 21 points, and it wasn't even that close. Grant had 12 points with no assists and just 2 rebounds in 27 minutes. The guy who really stunk up the joint for Phoenix was Amare Stoudamire though-- a rebound and 7 points on 2-10 shooting.

As mentioned elsewhere, JJ was barely used by Orlando even though the Magic were blowing out Detroit. JJ played 4 minutes and missed both his 3-pt attempts for zero points.

Despite having some nice games in the preseason, Shav got a DNP-CD last night for the Sixers.

The Dukies on the Bulls had a tough night, for sure. Chicago lost to a pretty mediocre Philly team 96-85 as Deng scored just 10 points on 4-12 shooting and CDu had 2 points on 1-7 shooting. Blech!! Chris did have 4 assists.
