Streels will almost certainly make the cut, finishing at Even. Right this second, +2 is T72, so it will only take a couple of the +1 group moving downward to shift the cut line to +2. Of course, things can shift the other direction as well.

Yep, now T71 which means 70 are at +1. But just over an hour ago 80 were at +1. Shows how quickly things can change.

One thing I will say definitively...Tiger won't make the weekend. Offering 10 to 1 odds on a pie bet.

Edit: Duval +5 through 4 today. I'll say one (more) thing, the guy must have no ego. I don't think most pros would slog through the game regardless of tournament prestige.

Double edit: There have been a couple shoot -6 today. Rory -1 through 3...can he make the cut?

As someone who is not a Tiger fan, watching him lumber around with that look on his face was great! I wonder if ESPN will bother to cover The Open if TW doesn't make the cut! Sometimes it's nice to see guys like JB Holmes and Lowery who are built kinda like an average guy go out and play well (I've always thought one of the reasons Phil appealed to people is because he looks like a big doofus).

Note...I'd take Left_Hand_Lacey at his word and let his entry count. Not trying to stir any pots but sometimes you gotta just trust people.
Leftie sure is going to be sore if his picks win, despite having DQ’d himself. Think of all that lost prize money!

    -14
Well, I had to bump Graeme up to 2 points (minimum by rule) and drop Frittelli. I kept Graeme because I heard he grew up playing this course. And, of course, right now Frittelli is tied for the lead with 2 holes left to play. Argh.

Brooks is going to win the tournament, Rory and Phil are going to miss the cut, Rickie is just doing OK, Jordan had a good day that could have been great (couple of makable putts missed) and will fall apart sometime in the next 2 days.

Think McIlroy wants a mulligan on that one-foot bogey putt he slapped at yesterday? Misses the cut by a shot.

Didn't know that. Gotta stay cool!

    He did go -6 though.

McIlroy and Day missed the cut so Team Green has four golfers competing for the Championship: Rahm, Kuchar, Fowler and Streelman.

With no real horse in the race, I'll be pulling pretty hard for Lee Westwood tomorrow.

Looks like our contest is coming down to a three horse race - mr. synellinden and Tripping William who both have Shane Lowry, and the weather which could blow up the entire leaderboard.

    mr. synellinden has:
    Lowry - 1
    Rahm - T8
    Spieth - T8
    Stenson - T12
    Casey - T54
    Matsuyama - Cut
    Rory - Cut

    Tripping William has:
    Lowry - 1
    Fowler - T6
    Kuchar - T12
    Thomas - T19
    Kisner - T29
    Rory - Cut

So assuming Lowry hangs on, its Ram/Spieth/Stenson/Casey vs Fowler/Kuchar/Thomas/Kisner

Incredible round by Lowry. It must give you a ton of confidence to be aggressive when you know you can get up and down from anywhere (did you know that Graeme McDowell says he's the best chipper he's ever seen? I forget so I'm glad Dan Hicks reminds me every 3 holes). Brooks and Rickie were locked in with their ball striking, but neither could get a putt to drop. The opposite from Spieth - he seemed to be in a bad spot every time the TV coverage showed him; I have no idea how he clawed out a 69.

I don't want to see Lowry choke, but i hope someone at least makes it interesting tomorrow.

Gosh, I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see an Irishman leading the Open (especially considering where it's being played this year), but it's not gonna be very interesting if he doesn't come back down to earth tomorrow. Was hoping Koepka would make more of a push today (and but for the two bogeys, he could have). But even if he goes crazy tomorrow and shoots -7, Shane Lowry would have to shoot par just to get Brooks into a tie. Not likely.

Must've! I demand a recount! And a do over! Good lord, my team made up an entire Panzer division.
