Barrett. Zion was awesome too.
Who was Duke's Man of the Match in their win over N Dakota State tonight?

Barrett. Zion was awesome too.
I'm torn. Barrett with a bunch of rebounds. Zion hyper-efficient and arguably the reason things didn't totally fall apart in the first half.
I do.
I have to go Zion. He took over the game at the start of the second half. We didn’t want that game to stay close much longer.
RJ's rebounds were very valuable, but it was Zion who kept us offensively in it at all in the first half, and it was his spark that really broke open the game in the second half, too. I wouldn't argue with either choice. Team defense is the right answer, though.
Zion and the defense kept us in it at half. 2md half Cam and RJ stepped up. My vote is RJ.

Tre's defense was divine. Voted for RJ but my oh my Tre!
Nothing incites bodily violence quicker than a Duke fan turning in your direction and saying 'scoreboard.'
RJ was his usual superb self, but Zion was zionistic! Zion got my vote in both polls tonight.
And kudos to Joey Baker for getting his first Duke points tonight! The bench went crazy when his 3 went in.

Zion Williamson earned my vote with his 12-16 shooting performance. One has to appreciate his efficiency.
Runner up is RJ Barrett. The importance of his 14 rebounds on top of being the team's leading scorer with 26 cannot be overstated. It is amazing RJ consistently puts up MVP numbers and is out shined by Zion.
Honorable mention goes to Jordan Goldwire for providing 21 solid minutes off the bench. He is developing into a significant rotation player.

RJ got the nod from me for his efforts on the boards. Lot of misses that he kept going back up for over and over again, and getting, despite 3 NDSU players surrounding him

Zion broke them to start the second half. His plays in those opening minutes of the second gave us the separation we needed, and the audacity of them gave us the confidence that we would not be denied.
FWIW, by my count RJ got 11 pts and 6 rebounds after Zion, Cam, etc. had been subbed out for. Sure, someone needed to do something during the last 8 minutes but the game was hardly in jeopardy at that point.
Both Zion and RJ are deserving, so I voted for RJ on the front page poll and voted for Zion on the DBR MOTM. RJ proved that he is one of the best rebounding guards in the country. Zion is the straw that stirs the drink though. As someone mentioned above, the steal and behind the back dribble to get open for a bucket was fantastic. He seems to have at least one of those plays in every game. Now let's beat the Big Taco. GoDuke!
