The Syracuse Post Standard just posted that Tyus Battle will not play for them against Pitt tonight. He is by far their most explosive scorer on a pretty "challenged" offense. Maybe an upset in the making? We play the winner tomorrow night. I would REALLY like our chances against Pitt!

On the first replay I didn't think it was a foul, then the second replay there was definitely arm to arm contact as the shot was initiated. A foul by the books.
Clemson had bigger problems in the second half than a questionable call down the stretch.

just want to also point out that after VT's win, the Zion Revenge Rampage Tour is still alive.

I offer the following for discussion purposes:

List of Final 4 refs, which is ACC heavy: https://phillyref.com/basketball/postseasonmen.html
I don't agree with everything in those articles. Without naming names, I probably would grade out the current crop of ACC regulars at a C-/D+ median.
Officiating is a double-edged sword. You can make 6 figures at the price of leaving your family for half the year and working 100 games. Do you really need Ayers, Valentine, and Jones, 3 guys with multiple Final 4s, at the Army game in Cameron? Additionally, by the time your kids are grown, you are past your prime. Most officials should retire about age 50 because there's often a quick trajectory downward.
The bottom line is that there's not enough good officials out there for the P5 conferences post-expansion. I'm not sure that making officials actual NCAA employees with 60 game caps is the answer.

Off recent topic, but I have a Nephew in Charlotte whose son has become a Zion induced fan of the Devils. He is hoping to have his son see the team as they enter or leave the hotel. Does anybody know which hotel they are using?
Raycom feed just ran an ad split screen - during live action!
Good riddance!

Looks like the Irish have Louisville exactly where you want them...
Where is TV Teddy ?
I dont know if this has been mentioned but Dick Groat announced that he is retiring as color commentary man for Pitt basketball. Groat has had a very distinguished career starting at Duke basketball and ending with the Cardinals in MLB. Enjoy your retirement sir !
A great view of the end of the State/Clemson game.
