All I know is that I want Duke to meet UNC in the ACC Tournament and steamroll them by 15+.

I'll just use this in place of the "This Week" threads for the week. Will break things down on a daily basis through the weekend, starting with tomorrow's matchups below:

    [68]Miami (-7) vs. [164]Wake Forest (12:00, ESPN)
[104]Georgia Tech (+1) vs. [87]Notre Dame (-1) (2:00*, ESPN) *starts 30 minutes after conclusion of prior game
    [110]Boston College (+1) vs. [98]Pittsburgh (7:00, ESPNU)
Just be you. You is enough. - K, 4/5/10, 0:13.8 to play, 60-59 Duke.

You're all jealous hypocrites. - Titus on Laettner

You see those guys? Animals. They're animals. - SIU Coach Chris Lowery, on Duke

Wake Forest has shown some life. They clearly pushed us, and was in the game against FSU.

Odds from a major sportsbook below. Somewhat interesting that both kenpom and this book give VaTech a better chance than FSU even though FSU got the double bye. (I agree with it, though.)

Both odds-makers have the top 11 in the exact same order, too. Interesting.

I don't find it that surprising. there have been enough teams that have had success even when coming of no rest against a team with a bye that the adjustment may be smaller than most of us make it out to be. It would interesting to see if there is a trend...yes there are plenty of anecdotes and people will say it's "obvious," but the degree to which the fatigue affects teams in the long term may be over stated (or understated).

VT is 3 points better on a neutral floor. that swings it enough to make up for the 90+% that VT should win that first game with.

Everyone is looking ahead to a Duke vs UNC match-up, but I'd say slow your roll. Both teams split their season series against their probable opponent so I'd be warry about looking ahead.

I’m torn between whether I want Louisville to upset the CHeats. On the one hand, I want a rematch with Zion healthy and I want to beat the snot out of them. And Louisville would be a tough matchup since they would be motivated to avenge their embarrassing collapse. On the other hand, losing to the CHeats a third time would be insufferable. And them getting knocked out early would potentially knock them off the #1 line, further opening the door for us.

Easy. Loss for cheaters every time they play. No question for me.

Yep. I would love to beat UNC soundly. I'd also love to see UNC lose on Thursday and not have to worry about them at all on Friday. Every game they play, I will cheer for them to lose.

Don't know what's been done in past and don't care.

For the ACC to list starting times as two hours apart is just plain STUPID. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the second game to begin two hours after first.

    Idiots!

Added the free streams from Raycom below for those out of the country or who want to watch at work, not that I am advocating that, or who will miss this alternative feed when it goes away:

I just added extra pressure on duke so I will apologize now. My wife was looking at my t-shirt collection and saw some rag-worthy duke shirts. She promised to not throw them out until after the season. So duke needs to win so I can get some good replacements.

Not very compelling match ups today. I'm curious to see how Wake does, but other than that, I'm probably not even checking scores until tonight.

Is it possible that you could see one of the five freshmen that some voter felt was better than R.J. Barrett this year? You could also watch a player (Bowman) that someone felt was the best player in the ACC this year.

There is a 20 minute break between games and a 15 minute halftime, plus four timeouts per half of let’s say 5 minutes each (in reality they are probably longer). That means they would have to play 40 minutes of game time in 45 minutes to actually start the next game in two hours. No called timeouts, no free throws, no inbounding the ball, etc. Totally agree that this is beyond stupid.

It’s at the point where I just automatically add 30 minutes in my head without even thinking about it. Kind of like when I see that the speed limit is 55 and the number that actually enters my brain is 64.
