In the other Group A game, New Zealand came back late to beat Senegal 66-64. Incoming collegians helped their team win as Kruz Perrott-Hunt had 14 points and James Moors had 10 points while current DII player Oscar Oswald had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

In Group B, Mali continued their impressive tournament with a 71-70 win over Canada with good games from the Drame twins as Hassan had 15 points and 13 rebounds and Fousseyni had 12 points and 15 rebounds while Abdramane Camara, whose next destination is unclear after his prep career, had 10 points. Ohio prepster Keon Ambrose-Hylton had 16 points and A.J. Lawson of South Carolina had 11 points in the loss. Australia bounced back and beat Latvia 81-52 with 15 points and 10 rebounds from St. Mary's signee Kyle Bowen.

In Group C, TCU signee Francisco Farabello had 15 points in Argentina's 77-72 win over the Philippines. Russia ended the day with an 83-75 win over hosts Greece.

Group D play started the day and France rolled again, this time past China 119-56 as Gonzaga's Joel Ayayi had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Serbia looked to be cruising early, but then Puerto Rico fought back and they barely held on to a 75-74 win as Gonzaga's Filip Petrusev had 23 points and 10 rebounds. Gonzaga featured on the other side too as their future player Julian Strawther had 22 points and 6 rebounds, Jorge Torres had 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Victor Rosa had 11 points as most of the roster has spent time in the states part of the United States.
