    Bernhardt Watches High Point NC

Anyone own a Bernhardt watch, or familiar with the business?

As far as watches go, they are not that expensive.
Swiss movement, made in US. Some for around $300, maybe $700-800 on the high end.

Supposedly they do a fair amount of custom work.

    A watch? What's a watch?

A period of time spent on what the Army calls guard duty. 😀

It's something our ancestors used to remind them what the term "clockwise" meant.

Never having been in position to buy an $800 watch, I assume they do more than tell time. Start the coffee machine, perhaps, or monitor the stock market.

My fitbit counts my steps. Does this one walk for you?

Of course, if you have to ask. . . .

Yeah, whatever happened to the good old days, when your Timex would take a licking and keep on ticking, all for around $50.

Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.

Pretty sure you can get a nice Timex Weekender for about $20 at Target.

I’ve got no issue taking some good natured grief about watches on DBR. Rather surprised there isn’t a single other person with a watch interest in the community.

I saw the thread title and wondered who Bernhardt was and why he/she was watching High Point.

I used to have watch interest...had a few nice ones over the years. Then smart phones came out, laptops became something I use a lot, and I quit wearing them. That is, until FitBit...for workouts, etc.
