The NBA or MLB are probably the best set up to implement relegation with (relatively) minimal effort (with MLS closely behind). I would love it. NBA wouldn't make any sense. Not enough large markets. If New Orleans is thinking about leaving for Seattle, how do you expect any of the D-League teams (for instance, Fort Wayne, South Bay, Delaware, Santa Cruz, etc) to compete financially with any large market?
