On Saturday, January 19th.
Sounds like Gameday to me. And what do you know, 1/19 is the first Gameday of the season. (Side note: Holy crap, that's 16 days from now!)
UVA boards are saying the game in Charlottesville is also at 6, but I haven't seen anything that would indicate that's more than speculation.
Really looking forward to seeing how we’ll fare against experienced team that not only slows the pace but most importantly doesn’t turn it over much. And this year’s UVA team can actually put some points on the board too. A long way to go until then, but I think this game will tell us a lot.
For your interest, here is an article--ostensibly about "10 things to get college basketball conference play percolating"--that might interest Duke and UVa fans alike. If you scroll down to the 5th of such things, you will find that the writer--from Louisville, of all places--is waiting, all atwitter, to watch our contests.
The entire Duke vs. UVa section is interesting for its content, but here is the pull-quote I find most intriguing:
"I know, Duke must play North Carolina on the last weekend and Virginia must finish with Louisville.
But Duke-UVa is the game I want."
This is interesting coming from a Louisville guy, which I think he is, given the first thing on his list: whether VJ King can be more productive for Louisville (?!?!).
And there it went. And here it is again.
(Mods, any chance we can move this to Jim Sumner's Duke-UVA tipoff set for 6pm thread?)
is it bad that my first thought was thinking sometime was going to make a case for Virginia barbeque?
